About the Author

Cindy Jobe Heffernan’s father loved telling imaginative bedtime

stories which inspired Cindy to do the same with her children

and now her grandchildren. She spends time reading her books

to children in classrooms, in healthcare settings and even in

fields at alpaca farms.

Cindy and her husband, Mark, lived for several months at the

Conley Family Farm where they befriended a vivacious herd of

alpacas. Cindy forged a special bond with one of the alpacas.

This exuberant and gregarious character was named Abby and

she inspired the series, Abby the Alpaca’s Great Adventures.
